Glow Plugs

An electrical element located in the combustion chamber of a diesel engine which helps to heat up the air in the chamber so that the diesel fuel will be ignited more quickly. Often they are connected in a series so that when one becomes defective the others are inoperative. Also called a "heater plug".

All Champion glow plugs are designed, tested and manufactured to original equipment (OE) standards. Champion has developed a long post-heating technology, wherein, the heating coil heats rapidly for fast starting in cold conditions and maintains a high temperature after the engine starts for reduced emissions.
