The solution:


When replacing the TC1192 ball joint, it is important to take

care when removing of the ball joint from the hub.


Step 1:

Remove the joint from the hub by using a slide hammer on the pin

of the joint, the use of this procedure would minimise the risk of

damage to the hub flange face. You should never employ a cold chisel

to perform this operation.


Step 2:

Once the joint has been removed from the hub, thorough cleaning

must be conducted to the internal aperture of the hub, due to

an electrolytical reaction between the aluminium hub and steel

joint. Failure to clean the hub aperture will result in difficulties

during re-assembly.


Step 3:

Reinsert the joint. It is advised to use the manufacturers’

recommended tool. Job done!
