When replacing the TC1192 ball joint, it is important to take
care when removing of the ball joint from the hub.
Remove the joint from the hub by using a slide hammer on the pin
of the joint, the use of this procedure would minimise the risk of
damage to the hub flange face. You should never employ a cold chisel
to perform this operation.
Once the joint has been removed from the hub, thorough cleaning
must be conducted to the internal aperture of the hub, due to
an electrolytical reaction between the aluminium hub and steel
joint. Failure to clean the hub aperture will result in difficulties
Reinsert the joint. It is advised to use the manufacturers’
recommended tool. Job done!
